When I was a super cool teen, I was so into mood rings and would stalk them with my eyes, waiting for them to change colors. I’d even try to change my mood on cue to change the color. Now that I’m an uber cool adult, I have to admit that I still think items that change colors right before my eyes are exciting. The latest fabulous awesomeness to enter my life is Del Sol Color-Changing Nail Polish!

I received this nail polish last weekend at the Beauty Bloggers of Central Florida meetup. Del Sol was one of our sponsors and I got Pretty In Pink. The nail polish bottle shows you the color the polish will change to on the front and the brush cap. In the bottle and on the nails indoors, it appears pearlescent. Depending on natural light peeking through the windows you can see slight pink hues from certain angles.

The brush cap shows you what shade your polish will be.

Step outside and as the sun kisses your nails, the polish transitions through several shades of pink until it fully deepens to a gorgeous french rose shade that is literally Pretty In Pink! I actually yelled out like a kid “Wow, it’s m-aaa-gic!!!”. Don’t judge me, it was flippin cool!

The nail polish glided on easily for me and I used two coats of Pretty In Pink on top of a clear base coat and no top coat. The brush is pretty standard, which I like. I know some prefer wide brushes but I have no huge gripes with standard brushes as I have rather small, child-like fingers. I also feel smaller brushes give me more control over where the polish goes and I make less of a mess.

Pretty In Pink begins to change back to the original color when you leave the sunlight.

Okay, here’s the deal. This past Saturday I was in a rush as I had kiddo’s basketball game and a meetup with the Beauty Bloggers of Central Florida. I left the house early in the morning and had less than twenty minutes between the game and the meetup and my nails where a disaster! MyGlam May 2012 Glam Bag

I actually really like this bag and have no complaints or “I wish I got…” moments. Shocker right? I think what satisfied me with this month’s glam bag is that each item is something I would truly use. Last month I gave away an item or two from my glam bag but this month MyGlam got it perfectly right for me. Kudos! The Philosophy Love Sweet Love Spray smells absolutely wonderful of course. Philosophy products always make me feel like I’m floating on clouds, sprinkled with flowers as candy rainbows are beaming nearby. Pure bliss!

Miss Beauty Nail Bling is super flippin cute! No matter how old a girl is, pink hearts are typically always a hit. I love pink, I love hearts, I love bling…works for me! However, I wouldn’t use these for a full mani. I would do an accent nail or two. I can’t wait to use these though. My nails have been getting extra special attention from the nail art world lately. Like when you dump a dude, then take him back and he’s a total kiss up to show you how sorry he is and how much he missed your fabulous awesomeness!

MyGlam May 2012 | Concealer & Defining Eyeliner Brush

Okay, so I read the included MyGlam card and skimmed the contents and thought “Another eyeliner brush? Seriously? Wack!”. Then I looked at the brush and saw a difference and had an oops moment. This eyeliner brush is different than the one I received last month. In last month’s glam bag, there was an eyeliner brush, however the one I received today is defining. So, I’m totally okay with getting this defining eyeliner brush and concealer brush. I could have 800 brushes and find a use for each one…maybe not for makeup, but I’d use them all somehow! Anywho, the Studio Gear Complete Color lipstick is a pretty, semi-matte color in the berry family. This is a color I would use but I think I will bring this to the Beauty Bloggers of Central Florida meetup this Saturday to see if one of my fabulous blog buddies would like to have it.

As you know, I am big time Zoya Nail Polish lover. You may also know that Lupus research and awareness are very near and dear to my heart. May is Lupus Awareness Month so I’ve been trying to wear some variation of purple as much as possible. So I chose to sport Rory and Trixie on my nails. Rory isn’t exactly purple but a warm pink/lilac variation of purple.  Trixie is a light, bright silver shade that I have longed for over the past year and was ecstatic when I found it on Zoya.com!

I love the way Zoya Nail Polish applies so smoothly. I typically use two coats but one can also suffice for the opaque shades. The brush is perfect for my liking and Zoya  nail polish never appears runny or thin to me. Most shades I have look fantabulous without a top coat. Of coarse to make sure my mani lasts longer, I use Zoya Amor, my favorite top coat. For this look, I applied one coat of Rory on the entire nail. Then two coats of Trixie and I used tape to get the clean, diagonal line. I decided to use Trixie because of the silver metallic shimmer that is in Rory. Both of these shades have a foil finish and I simply adore them both! Information for both shades are below.
